What Are The PEP Talks?
The PEP Talks (PEP stands for Passion, Experience, People) are recurring speaking engagements that showcase local professionals who are passionate about what they do and are eager to share their wisdom to students.

This web site acts as a living video repository for these talks - and serves as an archive for innovation, excitement and passion within our community.
Format
The PEP Talk Events occur quarterly and feature 5 speakers, each given 10 minutes to answer the following four questions:
- What are you working on now?
- What 3 personal skills do you covet the most?
- How do you use these skills in your career?
- Any wisdom you can impart to students?
The audience is then given a chance to network with the speakers and other professionals who attend. Each Event is professionally video taped and immediately tagged, categorized and posted on this web site.
The Focus On “Skills”
We are born with a set of skills and are taught many many more through life. We believe that those who love their careers do so because they frequently use skills they are proud of or covet. Helping students understand what skills they covet gives them a basic “requirements list” when choosing and evaluating a career path.
To bring this exercise full circle, the speakers at The PEP Talks talk explicitly share their coveted skills their application in their jobs. The goal is to form a deeper connection with students who may see these professionals as role models or, at the very least, an important connection in their growing network.
Mission
The PEP Talks were created to arm students with knowledge, experience and personal connections to forge a career path they love.
Vision
The PEP Talks will be the voice of career passion and inspiration to students all over the world.
